Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung celebrates her 22nd birthday

Girls’ Generation have been busy bees in France, as they attended KBS‘s ‘Music Festival in Paris‘ before performing on the French talk show, ‘Le Grand Journal‘. But while the girls are on the road, they didn’t forget to celebrate member Sooyoung‘s 22nd birthday!

On February 9th, Girls’ Generation held a press conference where they talked about their plans for Europe. Afterwards, a cake was rolled out for Sooyoung, kicking off a surprise birthday party. Sooyoung was also given a bouquet with 22 pink roses, one for each year, which drew a big smile from the star.

Uhm Jung Hwa: "My Best Partner Was T.O.P."

Singer and actress Uhm Jung Hwa proclaimed Big Bang’s rapper T.O.P. as the best partner she had. In an interview with KBS’ “Entertainment Tonight,” the “Madonna of Korea” candidly talked about the friendship she now shares with the idol.
“Whenever we get the chance, we get in touch,” Uhm Jung Hwa said. She and T.O.P. once collaborated on “D.I.S.C.O.,” a single released in 2008. The two promoted the single, and they had become friends through the collaboration.
Uhm Jung Hwa, who hit box-office success with her latest movie “Dancing Queen” further revealed, “He demonstrated his friendship when he surprised me in the movie theater. The audience were as surprised as I was.”
Uhm Jung Hwa’s interview with “Entertainment Tonight” will air on KBS on February 11 at 9:05 KST.

"Music Bank in Paris" Leaves European Fans Wanting More

K-Pop’s hottest stars headed to Paris, France earlier this week for “K-Pop Festival Music Bank in Paris.” Over 10,000 European fans gathered at the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy Stadium on February 8 to watch Girls’ Generation, SHINee, 2PM, T-ara, BEAST, 4minute, U-Kiss, and Sistar in person.
U-Kiss opened the three-hour concert with “Am I that Easy” and was followed by hot performances from the other seven K-pop groups. It was said that SHINee received the loudest cheers among the groups that performed that night. Fans showed their support and love for K-Pop by making posters, painting their faces, and holding the Korean national flag.
KBS will air the “K-Pop Festival Music Bank in Paris” next week, February 18, at 11PM KST. The special will also be aired in 72 different countries via KBS World. Following the concert in Paris, “Music Bank” has plans to hold concerts in Jakarta, Indonesia; Los Angeles, United States; San Paolo, Brazil; and others.

Sukses di Jepang, Serial City Hunter Diperpanjang 6 Episode

MEMBACA judul di atas mungkin Anda bertanya-tanya. Bagaimana bisa serial yang sudah tamat di Korea, jumlah episodenya diperpanjang saat tayang di Jepang?
Jika Anda sudah menonton City Hunter, entah melalui DVD bajakan atau download dari internet, tentu tahu bahwa serial yang dibintangi Lee Min Ho dan Park Min Young ini berjumlah 20 episode.
Saat ini, City Hunter sedang tayang di Jepang. Pihak Fuji TV sebagai stasiun penayang mengumumkan bahwa jumlah episode City Hunter akan ditambah 6 episode.
Well, sebenarnya “ditambah” bukan kata yang tepat.
Mengutip situs Soompi, Jumat (10/2), durasi asli City Hunter 53 menit perepisode (tanpa iklan). Tapi di Jepang, per episodenya hanya 45 menit. Ini dikarenakan banyaknya iklan yang masuk. Akibatnya, Fuji TV menyunting serial City Hunter hingga menjadi 26 episode.
Fuji TV telah mengumumkan “perpanjangan” 6 episode ini di situs resmi mereka. Penonton di Jepang pun mulai melayangkan kritik pada stasiun TV Jepang yang banyak menayangkan drama Korea itu, karena terkesan lebih mengutamakan iklan.
Semoga saja kalau nanti tayang di Indosiar, durasi dan jumlah episodenya bisa sama seperti aslinya.
